Throwstone Photography started with a simple idea — wedding photography should not feel like hard work. Terence founded the business after noticing too many couples felt stiff and uncomfortable in front of the camera on what should be the happiest day of their lives.
Years later, that philosophy has not changed. We put you at ease, find the beautiful light, and let genuine moments unfold naturally. The result is a collection of images that feel like your day — not a photoshoot.

Dani brings a warm, approachable energy to every wedding. Known for her attention to detail and ability to capture genuine emotions, she's an essential part of the Throwstone team.

Our Approach
One Wedding. One Fortnight. Full Attention.
Most studios book multiple weddings every weekend. We do not. We intentionally limit ourselves to one wedding per fortnight so that every couple receives our complete focus — from the first consultation through to delivering your final gallery.
This means more time planning with you, more care in editing your images, and a team that arrives at your wedding refreshed and excited — not running on their third event of the week.

The Studio
Come Say Hello
We have a studio in Canterbury where you can view sample photobooks, meet the photographers, and chat about your wedding plans over a coffee. It is relaxed and informal — just like us.
